Why I am on this ‘blogging’ website and writing? I do have a photoblog which is followed by many people and I am really delighted when someone takes out time to appreciate my work.
But for quite some time now, I started feeling that though my photographs are interesting, they tell a story and hopefully forces a thought or two in the viewer’s mind, my ability to communicate is seriously limited in a photoblog. This is because sometimes, when I am out in Nature, the story is not told only by the best result but also how I arrived at it. Yes, I can do it by describing the thought process of creating the particular image but a lot of times, I feel that including more images before or after ‘the image’ and by combining those in a coherent writeup, I could create a more captivating and powerful narrative. Also, sometimes, I realize that there is no single photograph which does justice to what I experienced, but a series of pictures amalgamated together in a story convey the essence.
The next interesting question which pops up is: Why do you want to share? The simple answer is because I like to. Second, I believe that there will be people, who, by reading these photo-narratives, may perceive the same elation which I felt while I was outdoors enjoying and making these photos. So for the smile and happiness of those and of course for my satisfaction, I begin this effort. I do not know how frequently I will be able to post here (I will continue to share photos at my photoblog) but because of my love for Nature, I believe, I will get enough opportunities to share my experiences through these photo narratives.
